St. George's Cathedral is an Anglican cathedral in GeorgetownGuyana and is one of the tallest wooden churches in the world, at a height of 43.5 meters (143 ft). 
St. George's was designed by Sir Arthur Blomfield and opened on 24 August 1892. The building was completed in 1899. It is located on Church Street in Georgetown, and is once of the country's National Monument.
The history of the St. George's Cathedral in Guyana can be traced as far back as 1781.
