Guyana's Lighthouse


The Georgetown Lighthouse built by the Dutch in 1817 to help guide ships into the Demerara River from the Atlantic Ocean. The103 feet high octagonal structure painted with its bright red and white stripes is a famous Georgetown, Guyana landmark. The Lighthouse, located on Water Street,is a National Monument of Guyana
